Zap Mama - New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 4/22/05
Last night at the Highline Ballroom DJ Z-Trip reminded me how great a live DJ set can be. Taking the stage behind the drum kit at the end of the DJ Tricky T set, Z-Trip rocked the house for the next couple of hours. He was mixing Simple Minds into Jimi Hendrix into Public Enemy all seamlessly. Special guests included Gift of Gab from Blackalicious.
